How often should a clock be serviced ... ?Most clock owners don’t realize that their clock even needs regular maintenance. The family clock that runs for 24 hours a day, day after day, never seems to get the attention it deserves. The clocks run for year after year until they finally stop and then it is assumed that it just needs some oil. Unfortunately, the damage has already been done. As time goes by the oil that is put in clocks evaporates and leaves the pivots (the ends of the gears) running dry. This is where the damage occurs. We recommend to our customers that they have their clocks oiled at 2 - 3 year intervals to prevent this condition. We also recommend a full overhaul of the movement every 10 – 12 years. This includes complete disassembly, ultrasonic cleaning, polishing pivots, and installing any bushings that may be necessary for the clock to operate properly.Back to TopDo you service Cuckoo Clocks ... ?Yes, but you should understand that Cuckoo Clocks are difficult and time consuming to work on and the price for this type of work is a bit higher than a key wind clock. Our minimum fee for Cuckoo Clock cleaning and repair starts at $129.95 Back to TopWhy doesn't ... ?[This is the answer to the question.] Back to TopWho is ... ?[This is the answer to the question.] Back to TopWhat is ... ?[This is the answer to the question.] Back to TopWhen is ... ?[This is the answer to the question.] Back to Top
